Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum Visual Presentation

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, Weston, West Virginia

The Asylum is second largest hand carved stone structure in the world compared to the largest is the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia.

You may wonder what types of history belongs inside. You may imagine back when it was in use, it may have had a dark past. From various treatments and medications to overpopulation of patients and other variables.

  1. I was here last summer and am always interested in how other people view/image these places. Nice group of photos. Yes, I do enjoy the history of these spots. You can search for TALA on my blog for my shots if you want.
