The MOV’s Snow Owl Visitor

In the area where I’m located, you’re most likely not able to see Snow Owls. Unless you’re in the higher elevations of the state or in the snowy portions of the country. This particular owl has been in the same general area for around a few days now. Some of us are surprised that conservationists or wildlife workers haven’t taken this creature. A worker did say that it had a broken collarbone, I believe? It’ll be watched until it gets to feeling better to be out back into the wild. We figure to give this pretty bird some space to be able to be comfortable. A lot of locals have come to see this bird but giving it plenty of distance just in case it decides to migrate to another portion of land.

Am I just a too Familiar Face?

Hello everybody,

I notice those who have been following me for a while and current followers, you may not know me. You’ve seen my journey’s, some up and downs and etc without knowing my looks or know me personally. For those who do actually know me in person, I never do mention this rarely at all.

Where do I begin?

Ever since I was a somewhat youngish kid, I always had a feeling like i was normal with a hence of “off-ness” which at the time, I didn’t know what the off-ness was exactly. Until, people started telling oh….you look like [name] from [location] (Doppelgängers). The locations can be localized, back where I grew up or even internationally. For the longest time, I never thought anything of it.

As years past, the more and more of Doppelgängers or thought or dreamt they saw me somewhere doing something at some point in time. Even some elders saying it to back before I were even born. You might think this is odd or extremely odd and probably some other things as well. Don’t worry, I thought of the exact same thing. I lost track of this at around 10-12 times. I typically brush it off my shoulders.

Although I do have one Facebook page about photography and for this blog that doesn’t have many follows but it’s nothing too famous or special, but that’s just my thoughts.

I’ll tell you about one of the recent situations that happened about a year ago when I was working at a fast-food restaurant. During one of the shifts, it was between the rush hours and I decided to grab a drink while I can. While I was filling up my cup, I noticed out of my peripherals, a table of 4 was giving me quite an odd/puzzling look. Once the cup got filled, I looked at the corners of my eyes towards the table to make sure I didn’t go crazy and turns out I was right. So, I turned their way and asked to see if there was something they needed and being professional about it. They said they didn’t need anything and asked to see what my name was and area I lived because that day I just happen to forget my name tag and I don’t go by full name (too popular and seems to fit me better). So, I told them my name and area I lived. Which it made them seem more puzzled. They realized I lived in a different state but worked in their state. We both apologized and what not and went on with the time. So, I drank my drink and went back to the kitchen. I could tell that they were puzzled still because I happened to peer through the window into the lobby. Oh, life’s a mystery ain’t it?

I also did see in media outlets that there was a man depicted in people’s dreams on multiple occasions. You can read about that mystery man here. Could this be happening to me? I have always wondered this? If you want me to upload a picture to this blog, let me know in the comments below.

Ames Fire-Article Compilation

Information below is from The Parkersburg News and Sentinel and WV Public Broadcasting,

PARKERSBURG — West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has declared a state of emergency in Wood County as a result of the former Ames plant fire, and Wood County Schools will be closed a second day because of air quality concerns.

Justice’s declaration will allow additional resources to be mobilized to address ongoing issues created by the fire, according to a release from the governor’s office.

“Multiple State Agencies have been involved in assisting Wood County since this terrible fire started on Saturday,” Justice said. “We are committed to making sure this disaster continues to be addressed and therefore I am issuing this declaration so that essential emergency services continue without interruption.”

Wood County Schools officials announced all schools, including the district office, will be closed Tuesday following a meeting with EPA representatives and emergency responders.

Superintendent John Flint said officials indicated atmospheric conditions Tuesday would be similar to Monday, which caused smoke from the Ames plant to stay closer to the ground. Firefighters are still working to sift through debris and douse hot spots, and the smoke cloud could be smelled throughout the city and seen for miles around.

The Williamstown-Parkersburg Catholic high school football game rescheduled for tonight at Stadium Field has been postponed again, due to air quality concerns related to the fire at the former Ames property.

In addition, a pair of regional soccer finals scheduled for Tuesday at the field have been pushed back to Wednesday, Wood County Schools Superintendent John Flint said.

Heavy rain temporarily halted work at the scene of the fire, which started early Saturday morning. The rain helped knock down some flames but also intensified the smoke.

The Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority announced today that it will offer free rides to anyone with respiratory issues and/or the elderly affected by the plant fire to the emergency shelter at South Parkersburg Baptist Church or any safe residence within the city limits of Parkersburg or Vienna.

Call the MOVTA office at 304-422-4100 for more information.

State and local officials continue to work to determine the contents of the former Ames facility as smoke still billows from the ongoing fire there.

Lawrence Messina, director of communications for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, said there were no Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory Forms filed for the site. Also known as Tier II reports, the forms are submitted annually to local fire departments and other emergency response agencies to help them plan for and respond to chemical emergencies, he said.

“We have yet to identify any law or regulation that would have required this property to identify its contents to a state agency or program,” Messina said via email.

Wood County 911 Director Rick Woodyard said officials at the scene have a book of Material Safety Data Sheets listing characteristics of potentially toxic chemicals at the site, but it is not known if all of those listed in it were being stored there at the time of the fire.

The Wood County office of the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department has closed for the day, along with multiple downtown businesses including Highmark West Virginia, due to the fire and changing weather.

At the scene of the fire, heavy rain this morning helped douse some of the remaining flames, but intensified the smoke.

Wood County Schools officials have yet to determine whether schools will be open Tuesday; but West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission officials have confirmed two regional soccer finals at Stadium Field Tuesday evening are planned to go on as scheduled.

Wood County 911 Director Rick Woodyard is advising people to keep away from the site of the ongoing fire at the former Ames facility in south Parkersburg.

There are not as many onlookers today as when the fire started Saturday or on Sunday, but becasue of weather conditions, the cloud of smoke from the fire is closer to the ground, affecting air quality, officials said.

Firefighters from West Virginia and Ohio continue to work to keep the fire under control and get it extinguished, although the latter is expected to take multiple days.

Tankers from Silverton, Harrisville, Salem Township and Newport, among others, have delivered water to the scene this morning.

Multiple backhoes are at the site in an attempt to move debris and provide better access to remaining hot spots.

The state has committed money to assist local agencies with the costs of fighting the ongoing fire at the former Ames facility.

Donnie Adkins, with West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice’s office, and Senate President Mitch Carmichael informed Wood County commissioners of the financial assistance this morning.

Area agencies and businesses began announcing closures late this morning due to air quality concerns stemming from the ongoing fire at the Ames facility in south Parkersburg.

Wood County Magistrate and Circuit courts closed this morning, and the Wood County Public Defenders Office announced around 10 a.m. it was in the process of closing.

American National University announced it would be closed today. West Virginia University at Parkersburg had already cancelled morning classes.

Community Bank sent out an email announcing it’s downtown branch would be closed this morning. Several area businesses also were closed this morning citing air quality concerns.

We will continue to update this article as more announcements are made

What We Know And Don’t Know

Wood County is under a state of emergency as an industrial fire continues to burn at a warehouse just outside Parkersburg city limits. Gov. Jim Justice joined state and county officials to discuss ongoing efforts to put the fire out and to address residents’ health concerns.

Still, a lot of questions remain about the incident and how it might affect residents of the surrounding area. Here’s what we know (and what we don’t know):

The key is getting the fire out. But even that is a question.

Weather patterns continue to be cooperative in terms of response efforts. Heavy rains in and around Parkersburg on Monday knocked a thick plume of smoke and concentrated it closer to the ground. Tuesday morning’s weather brought some relief. As rain moved out, the smoke thinned and headed upward — away from the scene of the fire.

Even with a decrease in the plume’s size and the dissipation of the smell of burnt plastic, incident commander Mark Stewart, of the Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department said there is still no timeline for extinguishing the fire.

With the fire still burning, private firefighting and hazmat firm Specialized Professional Services, Inc. of Washington, Pennsylvania, remains at the scene with local responders.

Officials are still not sure what was in the building when the fire started.

County Commissioner Blair Couch said that a warehouse owner handed Stewart a three-ring binder of material safety data sheets. Couch and other officials said that information is outdated and, thus, may not accurately reflect the materials stored at the facility as of Saturday, when the fire began.

“We’re hoping for the property owner to complete his evaluation. He said his paper work was in the building that is no longer there. Now he’s going through e-mails to get a bill of lading — trying to figure out what they had shipped out,” said Couch. “We have heard from certain industry insiders that have said, ‘We know that’s not there because we never sold them that.'”

Larry Messina of the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety also clarified that state and county officials are trying to obtain recent bills of lading that would show materials that have shipped to and from the facility. He said the owners have told state and county officials they are trying to track down those documents electronically via archived email.

“It’s going to be a little bit of time,” Couch said. “I know there’s just so many people with concerns, me not the least of them.”

So far, officials say air testing shows no signs of health hazards.

Gov. Jim Justice said at a Tuesday morning news conference that air-quality testing from the West Virginia Department of Environmental shows that 150 air samples are below a 1,000 parts per million threshold when tested for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine and ammonium.

A representative for the state Department of Environmental Protection said those monitors had at one time been placed right next to the blaze. He said those readings detected levels higher than the 1,000 ppm level and were repositioned to more accurately reflect the air quality being consumed by the community.

County officials have also contracted Arkansas-based environmental consultants Center for Toxicology, Environment & Health to monitor air quality.

The owner of the property has a history in the area.

According to DEP-issued consent orders, Intercontinental Export Import, Inc. has been cited in March 2015 for failing to provide monthly water pollution reports to state regulators. According to its website, IEI is a subsidiary of Sirnaik. The West Virginia Secretary of State’s office has a “Warehousing and Storage” company chartered in Wood County under the name Surnaik Holdings of WV, LLC.

IEI owns five warehousing and storage facilities in Wood County, according to county and state officials. The DEP says IEI have been the owner of the facility that burned since 2004.

Officials failed to provide information about whether the other facilities have been inspected since the fire.

Governor Justice said he nor other state or county officials are aware of the insurance policies obtained by IEI and to what degree their coverage might help with reimbursing the cost of the response, including any law suits that might be filed against the company.

“We don’t know the extent. Now we’ve tried we’ve tried to figure that out. We do not know the extent of the insurance coverage whether it covers all liabilities or whatever,” said Justice. “And, actually, you know this is a private entity and everything and, for all I know, the ownership is trying to do the right things and work in a positive way from what I know today.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office is has been on the scene of the fire since Saturday but has yet to determine a cause.

In a Monday evening news conference, officials from the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office said in 2008 there was an operational sprinkler system at the facility.

We’re Back/Update

Hey everyone,

So, for those who are following me, I’ve been gone for almost a month since the last post.

There have been some things going on. One of those things is content. Figuring out what content to bring forth is hard. I do have a lot of content in mind to do and probably should’ve posted sooner. Another things is that life is life and you have to live life and what it tosses at you which could be either good or bad.

So if you want to hear more about us let us know down in the comments below.

A Look into the Unknown

There are many things in this world that cannot be explained or yet explored. Yet, the sciences and math probabilities are able to explain some of the things going on but not all. Could it explain what is in the deepest depths of the ocean, what about the strange space, earth, and human anomalies, why we can't explain cold cases or missing person cases that are never reopened, what happens when something or someone goes through a black hole in space (hypothetically speaking), and etc? There's so many questions left to be answered.

It's an exploration race of knowledge beyond our capabilities which we are slowly learning more about and who knows what point of time it will take us to get there. It seems like there are a lot of dark subjects that haven't been shown the light of day and dedication to be worked into so we know the Earth and Space more and what we are capable of. It seems like there maybe a lot of curious minded people who are wondering about what the future holds and the mysteries and tales of the past, present and future.

What will the future hold? Will we discover what lies in the parts unknown and the tales of our own planet?

Unnecessary Censorships vs Culture Norms & Media

Seems like in every culture there are ways that we are influenced like censorships or censoring.

In each culture, we are brought up in a certain way and uniquely different. For example, some are brought up in a fast-paced environment, religious stand point, minimalistic, independently, group efforts, and etc.

For example, nudity. Nudity is an al naturale part of life and we deal with it on an everyday part of life. But when it comes to the tv or some media news outlets, the intimate areas of the body maybe blurred out depending on where you are at in the world. But, why be censored out when it’s an al naturale part of the human race? So, would it be an unnecessary censorship across all cultures?

Another example is foul language. Foul language maybe a part of the everyday talk for some. But why censor all foul language especially when it comes to media? Is it really that offensive? Maybe for some I suppose….

The last example I have would be the subject of the deceased. For example if the deceased have died in some horrific instance and the media would most likely not show the pictures/videos, and/or blacken or fuzz out the worst parts of the photo or video. But death is a natural thing. But, things maybe to upsetting to see, the loved ones of the deceased may not want the information leaked and want the person to be remembered in a better manner, and/or the “culture norms” of that country. Yea, not all deaths are horrific but some can be more on the peaceful side.

So, what else would you include in the unnecessary censorship?

Not Just One Life Matters But All Lives Matter

                             From @AngélicaDass

We are all human, living all on one planet, and living together to hopefully make the world a better place or at least we try to.

Throughout history, there are rough and ugly patches that were recorded and will be  remembered for future references. But, we seem to question why these events happened. There maybe significant clues to why some events happened or started while others may never be known and some were just a part of one’s culture. Some examples of some rough and ugly patches of history would be segregation/separation, slavery, maltreatment practices, unsafe working conditions, concentration camps, stigmatization, and so much more.

In recent years, people are wanting to spread awareness that black/white/lgbtq+/religion/…….. (list goes on and on) lives matter in peaceful to unpeaceful manner (depending on circumstances on that point in time and person).

But, it’s not just about one specific life matters. We get that you and others have concerns about where you belong and want to share it with the world and hopefully to make a change or spark of something. It may spark others to join in.

Is it a part of a revolution or fad? How far are you willing to go? Has it started to become too extreme, is it just started to stir the pot, or still on the low end of the spectrum?

What about all lives matter? We all matter in this world. We all want a fair world with equality. No hate just love, no worries be happy, and we do what we can.

Aside from the negatives throughout history, there are positives. We have figured out what to fix or not to do in future history. We have revolutionized the medical field so we could save more lives and to have a longer lifespan, create technology that doesn’t use nonrenewable resources, start of buckling down on security measures so citizens could live in a safe society, working on trade routes and other countries relations, and the list continues.

We as humans, we just want the best for us. But, how far are you willing to go to change the mindset of those who are wanting to stuck with traditional ways? Although traditions can be a good thing, it shows what we were brought up on. But times are changing and the human population is growing. We have to accommodate everyone of Earths citizens. We shall not leave one struggle and be left behind.

There is a topic of stigmas. Yea, there stigmas attached to every single topic. Stigmas can hold us back. Stigmas could affect people in being able get employment, education, travel, help of any kind, food and water, and etc. So stop stigmatizing all together, it is not helping anyone.

If we are not willing to help our neighbors, why bother in what we’re trying to do. There are a lot of corruption. Corruption are those who may be those of the greedy and toxic people. Those people think mostly of themselves. We don’t need them to fight for us and to think they actually “know” what is good for us.

We need those who are willing to help us that are pure and actually wanting to help to be there for citizens. We should be there for our fellow neighbors. We shall leave no one behind or struggle. ALLLIVESMATTER, not just one. We ARE ALL THE SAME. We all may have different skin tones and genders. and/or be a part of different religions/other groups/labels but we are the same; HUMAN. Being a part of these different things does NOT separate us, make us a sub-human of each other or other classification. We are all the same level of species, no need of arguing about it. We should be proud we are human. We should live in pride and celebrate how far we have accomplished so far and live to our full happiness and no worries.

I’m Only Human by Rag’n’bone Man (2017)

I’m only human
I’m only, I’m only
I’m only human, human
[Verse 1]
Maybe I’m foolish, maybe I’m blind
Thinking I can see through this and see what’s behind
Got no way to prove it, so maybe I’m lying
But I’m only human after all
I’m only human after all
Don’t put your blame on me
Don’t put your blame on me
[Verse 2]
Take a look in the mirror and what do you see?
Do you see it clearer, or are you deceived
In what you believe?
‘Cause I’m only human after all
You’re only human after all
Don’t put the blame on me
Don’t put your blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I’m only human after all
I’m only human after all
Don’t put the blame on me
Don’t put the blame on me
[Verse 3]
Don’t ask my opinion, don’t ask me to lie
Then beg for forgiveness for making you cry
Making you cry
‘Cause I’m only human after all
I’m only human after all
Don’t put your blame on me
Don’t put the blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I’m only human after all
I’m only human after all
Don’t put the blame on me
Don’t put the blame on me
I’m only human; I make mistakes
I’m only human, that’s all it takes
To put the blame on me
Don’t put the blame on me
I’m no prophet or Messiah
You should go looking somewhere higher
I’m only human after all
I’m only human after all
Don’t put the blame on me
Don’t put the blame on me
I’m only human, I do what I can
I’m just a man, I do what I can
Don’t put the blame on me
Don’t put your blame on me
