Patriotism

Patriotism is defined as the quality of being patriotic, vigorous support of one’s country.

Patriotism has become a popular topic recently or at least in the American culture, it is. A lot of the older generations are used to people standing with one arm across the chest and having head wear off during the Pledge of Allegiance and/or National Anthem.

But in recent times, people have been sitting out, kneeling, burning the national flag, making unpatriotic remarks, and so on and so forth.

But, some questions remains..

  1. What makes someone against/for something in their country?
  2. What might make someone not like/like the country they are currently in?
  3. What is the backstory behind all these patriotic/unpatriotic things?
  4. What constitutes as patriotic/unpatriotic in one’s country?

Thoughts of Las Vegas Massacre 2017

US History

May all those who lost their lives may rest in peace
May the proper actions take place afterwards

~10PM, Sunday, October 1st, 2017, Route 91 Harvest Festival, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

SourcesABCNews,CNN, Washington Post,

What seemed like the typical festival going on in the Las Vegas strip and everyone having a good time and enjoying a concert until one moment: non-stop bullets was shooting into the Route 91 Harvest Site from the 29th Floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel from the corning block. During this festival, there were hundreds of attendees. There are at least 59 people killed and 527 injured, currently confirmed and could possibly rise.

The suspect is a 64-year-old, white, Mequite, Nevada resident Stephen Paddock who stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel during the time of the event that had brought the numerous (23) firearms (pistols, handguns, and rifles) and an ingredient used in explosives (room and car) mostly found in his room. At this point in time, the motive is unclear. They also found 3 cameras, 2 in the hallways outside his room, and 1 looking through the door. After this happening, he had taken his own life. It is believed that he acted alone.

According to CNN, Paddocks brain was autopsied and there was “no abnormalities.”

Las Vegas Shooting Gofundme

Thoughts

I think this a saddening and horrific moment in American history and will ever remain to be a part of the dark histories that will always be remembered. We will not forget this event like past similar events. I know in American culture, people like their weaponry and right to bear arms but will this or future events like this change the way things will change in the distant future? Will it change to where other countries are doing?

I wonder the backstory and why this person decide to do this act? Did something go wrong or did he have some sort of mental breakdown?

Questions

  1. How could this ever happen?
  2. How could this guy get so many weaponry into a hotel?
  3. What kind of security or security policies does this hotel have?
  4. What is the motives?
  5. What is the shooters background?
  6. Was this an act of terrorism?
    1. Terrorism is defined as any act that can cause terror amongst a group of people in an certain area.
  7. Was there more than one shooter?
  8. Will this affect the way we have the right to bear arms?
  9. Will the right to bear arms change or be more restrictive?
  10. How will history or culture change for the better?

This post will be updated once more information is out to general public

Original Thought

Have you ever wondered what an original thought actually is?

At this day of age, it seems as though a lot of the things that we say have to say or do is related to some sort of past or current popular culture. Popular culture is things that we all can relate to like popular phrases, proverbs, movies, tv shows, books, news, journals, songs, podcasts, radio, and other outlets.

It may be hard to come up with something without the referencing something from popular culture. But, the challenge is how well to challenge your thought process to think how original you original process is.

There is a game out there that my friends and I played during some free time between classes at college. We would have a conversation even though that some of it would be a random sketch that we would have to come up with something quite hilarious.

Game Rules

  • gather around a few people, family, friends, classmates, or acquaintances.
  • come with a topic or an improvised conversation
  • try to see how long you can last in the conversation without referencing anything from popular phrases, proverbs, movies, tv shows, books, journals, news, songs, podcasts, radio, and other outlets.
  • first person to reference something from any outlet listed in the bullet above will have to back out of the conversation until the last person stands
  • last person standing has the most original thoughts
  • after the round you may start over again.

We’re Back/Update

Hey everyone,

So, for those who are following me, I’ve been gone for almost a month since the last post.

There have been some things going on. One of those things is content. Figuring out what content to bring forth is hard. I do have a lot of content in mind to do and probably should’ve posted sooner. Another things is that life is life and you have to live life and what it tosses at you which could be either good or bad.

So if you want to hear more about us let us know down in the comments below.

A Look into the Unknown

There are many things in this world that cannot be explained or yet explored. Yet, the sciences and math probabilities are able to explain some of the things going on but not all. Could it explain what is in the deepest depths of the ocean, what about the strange space, earth, and human anomalies, why we can't explain cold cases or missing person cases that are never reopened, what happens when something or someone goes through a black hole in space (hypothetically speaking), and etc? There's so many questions left to be answered.

It's an exploration race of knowledge beyond our capabilities which we are slowly learning more about and who knows what point of time it will take us to get there. It seems like there are a lot of dark subjects that haven't been shown the light of day and dedication to be worked into so we know the Earth and Space more and what we are capable of. It seems like there maybe a lot of curious minded people who are wondering about what the future holds and the mysteries and tales of the past, present and future.

What will the future hold? Will we discover what lies in the parts unknown and the tales of our own planet?

Love all, nothing less

Some of you remember one of the blogs posted not too long ago explaining why we're only human and all lives matter. This is similar and if listened to we can all live in a better society. We can all live to dream that this will come true. So, beyond this paragraph you can decide if you want to read further.

When looking at multiple news outlets, there are those standing up for equality for rights and fair treatment. There are still a lot of maltreatments and corruption going on out there in the world. But, how far is enough or too much? Well, that's a million dollar question, we may never actually know.

We should spread care, love and kindness to all. We should not hate, corrupt, and evil from the world. We're all human, there's no sub-humans. Yes, we're all different colors, have different religions, culture, sexual orientations, political ideas, and etc but that doesn't make us (humans) any less than one another. History happened so we would not hope to be repeated in future history.

Would there ever be a time when there is going to be a time of peace and no violence?

I ask you for simple thing.
Will you love the people around you? Will you help stop the stigmas and violence going on in the world? Can you help the world become equal for all those who reside in the world?

Remember to love one another and be kind to your neighbor.

NO means NO

When you tell someone no it should mean no. You can tell anybody no or turn down any situation. No should mean no not yes. Yes should mean yes not no. Why can't people comprehend that?

It does not mean that the person has that some sort of unspoken permission in doing something that is not needed or against the other person's will.

For example, if a man is trying to get lucky and is not taking no for answer. So, he picks a random girl that may be willing to give some time to give to the desperate guy but she decides things are not exactly normal about this guy and a lot of red flags are up and waving around. She tells him no numerous times and he isn't taking no for an answer. She leaves the location and he follows her and decides that she "deserves it" and rapes her. He says she "deserves it" because of her outfit. She didn't "deserve it" because she clearly told him no and her outfit was not skimpy and was covering the majority of her skin, she wasn't acting desperate as he was, and was not being flirty or that interested in the people hitting on her. Was she a victim in this case? Yes, she was, she never asked for this to happen for her. The guy got away after he was finished with his task.

This is probably a bad example but was trying to make a point

This also can go along with so many other situations as well. If a person doesn't feel comfortable with a situation or being around a person or group of people. It is OK to say NO. Just follow your intuition and instinct or that gut feeling. You are the one who is in control of your own life. Things will fall into place and you will find your true self and figure out who your true friends are.

Remember to love one another and treat others the way you want to be treated.

Remember if you don't feel comfortable with a person or situation. Do what feels right and say no or leave.
